I very much like the Tombow markers already. I have a whole set (I'm a magpie and have to collect ALL the colors of things I like.), and I've used them extensively. They're definitely among my favorites to use for any water-soluble applications, and work really well both as-is or with water. This set, in particular -- I bought because I'd run my grays nearly dry. I do a lot of illustrations for print, and a lot of those are in grayscale, so my blacks and grays in every medium tend to go quickly. This set has a very good value range and mix of temperatures (both warm, cool, and neutral grays), and if you do a lot with grayscale, it's a good set to have on hand. I'm super happy that Tombow put this one together. And I'm sure I'll pick it up again when I blow through these, too.(For the record, they're also very juicy with a decent ink capacity. When I say "blow through" them, I'm using them much more than the average person...and they still take me a good six months to a year to run out. For most normal usage, they'd last a really long time.)I never have bought these before, so I'm pleased. I didn't know what to look for or expect but they work excellently and are great for a beginner like myself. It's a nice set of grays, but there are 2 grays that are so alike to black, it's hard to tell them apart. Wish there was more gray variety in this set. It is really good quality water based markers. Tombows are the best there areMy son was looking a gray pen this set is perfect! In the past I've used copics which are of course very nice, but really expensive. And honestly mine dried out super fast. So after some research I settled on these, and no regrets! I love them, they're smooth and easy to use. I've had them for months now and I love them just as much as day one! I'm highly looking forward to getting colored ones from this brand in the future! Definitely recommend.Loved the pens - very versatile and quality. Only complaint is the lack of value range despite the multiple pens and cap colors. I only found 3-4 values at best and no white at all. I had to order an acrylic paint pen separately from another place to get white.Pros:I absolutely love working with water-soluble markers and these hold up to other brands such as Koi, Fabrr-Castell, Copic, Artist Choice and PrismaColour. They don’t bleed through, even on crummy, lined paper, they are smooth and turn painterly with used with a damp brush. I did a blurry picture of some artwork achieved the first night with this set + 2 damp w/c brushes (#2 ).There’s a nice, ‘point side’ which is around a 2 (1mm) size or a sharpie fine (rather thick, IMO ) and the brush point on the other side has a nice point with some bend. Stif on the point side and long on the brush side. The pens are longer than average so they can get heavy. The cap fit on the back on one side but not the other. I’ve attached photos for colours samples of each marker, each colour with water and each colour with the blender pen. Oh, and the blender pen tip hasn’t gotten stained yet. I hate that, so it stays clean. Nice pens with lovely blend-ability. At the bottom of the sample page, I did a vs comparison of the colours vs Koi, FAberCastel, etc. (see photos)Cons: only one warm grey, and it’s warm Grey 1. Out of all colours, I prefer he lightest shades, but would have thought this set would have not just cold greys, 2 black colours, a blender and only one warm Grey. So, I would t call it a full “palette”, but it’s a pretty complete nearly full “Cold-Grey palette”. This is a pretty decent set of greyscale pens. Note that they are water based, not alcohol based, so they will warp some market papers. They blend well, though over-blending does result in a speckled effect. The brush tips are reasonably flexible and allow for line variation and a good solid fill whilst the pen tips are hard enough to give full control of the line. The colours also layer fairly well up to three or four layers for even more shading options.I don't think I need to explain why Tombow dual brush pens are great... Lots of people know it. I however have some issues with the caps that tend to not fully close and then the tip dries, but now I am very careful. I bought that set only because it was on sale. The pens you get in that set are (from left to right, or darker to lighter): N15, N25, N55, N45, N60, N75, N65, N95, N89, N00.Absolutely Amazing!Perfect for all artwork, perfect for black& white portraits and shadows.Lay flat to allow ink to seep to both tips. Have all the colour range , best watercolour pens EVER & Easly layered for a deeper intense colour. But allow first layer to dry. :)Nice quality. Shame the white is just light as Aposed to white. It won’t write on black, they just get lighter on white. Perfect for signing photos or anything that need that acid free touch
