Let me start this off by saying that I am an artist. I am one of those picky artists who is obsessed with finding the perfect paint or the perfect paintbrush.. or the perfect.... paint pen. I have a massive collection of paint pens with names such as Posca, Montana and Molotow. We all know those paint pens aren't cheap and they come with flaws. I took a risk and decided to buy these because I was drawn to the range of color! I felt it was worth the risk! Let me tell you..It was definitely worth the risk! I've included a pic of a fraction of my markers and paint pens in my review so you can get an idea of what I work with for comparison. This is not a paid review and I definitely bought all 5 or 6 sets with my own money so, I'll copy and paste this review on every set I've purchased. Pros:1. Easy to get the paint to flow. Shake it to mix any settled paint. It took about 4 pumps on average to get the paint to flow.2. Great coverage. I even tested yellow over black. Posca can't compare to this. I included a picture with multiple layers of different colors overlapping for reference.3. The tips aren't getting clogged with paint. Anyone who as dealt with an ultra fine Posca and the muddy mess that can unexpectedly happen on a project knows the frustration. It hasn't happened once.4. The fine lines are comparable to Posca Ultra Fine.5. The color range is phenomenal. They aren't dups of the same color. Each color is different and is perfect for the painting without actually having to paint effect.6. I havent tried it yet, but I can bet these would be great for rock painting also.7. These work WONDERFUL on YUPO paper. You might need to let a layer dry and double it up. Not because of the paint, but because of the nature of Yupo.Cons: None? I can't really think of any cons. I am sad I have spent literally thousands of dollars before I found these. I haven't done enough research to know if I'll be able to order replacements of specific colors if I go through certain colors faster than others so, I suppose that could be a foreseeable problem if that option is not available. Hopefully, they have the option to "build your own" or customize or order colors or refills directly from the manufacturer.The colors of these Neon Acrylic Paint Pens are fabulous! They are nice and brilliant!I'm attaching a sunset picture I did with them.I've had a lot of compliments on my painting!They aren't messy to work with like regular Paint and brushes and easy to control where the paint is going..There isn't anything really bad I can say about them..the only downside is you can't mix colors you have to use whatever colors are in the pens themselves. But I can handle that. I just use regular paint Pens that have different colors that the Neon pk doesn't have..I really like them and recommend them!I'm loving the new and improved Tooli-Art Metallic and Glitter Acrylic Paint Pen sets. They are very smooth and easy to use. They prime much easier than the originals did, which is great. They do take a little while to dry (but not hours), and that should be expected with acrylic paint. Some of the colors flow almost too well and seem quite liquidy (12 Gunmetal for example), possibly needing a second coat depending on the canvas you're using. Overall, the coverage is really good with this set. The metallics are incredible. They mix well and paint on so smoothly. The glitters mix well, too, and paint on smoothly; however, I'm not noticing much glitter. They do shimmer a bit, they just aren't as glittery as I was hoping. Perhaps that's to prevent the nibs from clogging. Both sets are a lot of fun to use though!My only real suggestion for future upgrades would be to include the window in the barrel (for metallics) like the other reformulated (essentials and glitters) and pro-series sets have. This is super helpful because we can see how much paint is left and if I've shaken it enough to have a complete mixture of paint with each use.As a side note, Tooli-Art's FB page is fun and welcoming. Hope my review is helpful for you, but I gotta go now...time to paint some kindness rocks!Good markers, I like alcohol based better but these look cool, especially when you paint on top of colors.I do a lot of doodles over acrylic paintings. MAKE SURE TO SEAL AFTER YOU DO A COAT. These will smear if you don't. Or wipe off with water. Lesson learned on a 36x24 doodle I worked 4 days on.These are great for the price. Just use Krylon sealer. Uv protection. Same that you use for watercolors.I also bought the fine tip matching pens that are by same manufacturer. Worked good for finer work.Initially I found this to be a disappointing product. Between taking the plastic off individual pens and priming each pen I found it a bit time consuming and off putting. When I first saw the colours on paper they were dull and looked unrecognisable to the colour they were meant to be. Using them on a plain white mug, some of the colours were passable but I definitely wouldn't say the colour produced is vibrant. That said, they were easy enough to paint with with generally good control over flow rate. I did have to change a nib as the colour wouldn't work but after changing it was fine. Personally, I wouldn't recommend or purchase this product again.Great pens! Great colours and really useful to have fine point and medium point in same colour. Colours are not bright, but lovely soft metallic shine especially under light. Shame -but no yellow. I use mine for Rock painting, (colours better with gesso undercoat.)I bought these pens for my 11year old to do some rock/stone art. They are just the ticket and, apart from being excellent quality, they are really good for drawing, writing and decorating on stones and rocks. I am sure that they would be equally for other forms of art and I would highly recommend them.The service, packaging and prompt delivery was fantastic, given the current restrictions, and the seller has done a fine job.Well done and thank you.Although the gold and silver colours are nice, the rest of these tend to all look the same, so not great for salt dough painting! Cleaner than acrylic paints, definitely, but range of colours is limited and not at all like they look on the packet!.
